Our dancers gratefully accept any donations, even the

smallest is very much appreciated.  All donations are tax exempt and come with a "Thank You" letter from the dancers along with our non-profit tax ID number for your records. We thank you in advance for your support in our endevour to keep our rich, historic and beautiful culture alive.

We’re still building our program and the way the childrens faces light up when we go to competition every year in February is priceless. Take a look and you’ll see---we’re still in progress so the website will continue to be changed and you’ll be able to see more pictures as we go along!  This year, the older team “Methorios” is traveling through the island of Samothraki or Samothrace.  The younger team, “Helidonia” is still perfecting their Thracian, mainland suites. We pride ourselves on trying to maintain a high level of authenticity as we research all the regions. we welcome you to take a look.

 Who We Are, What We Do / Ποιοι Είμαστε και Τι Κάνουμε

We are a small group of dancers that compete annually in the national Greek Folk Dance Festival (“FDF”).  While our recent ties are in Southern California, our roots were originally planted in Greece.  It is with honor that we strive to preserve our Hellenic heritage through the continuation of ancient dances originated in areas throughout Greece.

 Είμαστε μια μικρή χορευτική ομάδα   που ιστορικά έχουμε ιδρυθεί από την Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Ιεραποστολή (“Η Ιεραποστολή“) στο South Orange County, California. Συμμετέχουμε ενεργά και διαγωνιζόμαστε στον ετήσιο εθνικό Διαγωνισμό Παραδοσιακών Χορών - Folk Dance Festival (“FDF”). Αν και κατοικούμε πλέον στη Νότια Καλιφόρνια, οι ρίζες μας είναι βαθιά ριζωμένες στη μητέρα Ελλάδα. Είναι τιμή μας που προσπαθούμε να διατηρήσουμε την Ελληνική μας παράδοση μέσα από τη διατήρηση των παραδοσιακών τοπικών χορών της Ελλάδας.

 The Need / Η Ανάγκη 

In an effort to make a proud presence at the FDF, and to not place a financial burden on the dancers parents, our dancers reach out to the outlying communities for funding of costumes, travel expenses, and eating expenses.  Our dancers are all volunteers, participating in these activities solely for their own pleasure and to promote their Hellenic culture.

Μέσα από την προσπάθειά μας επιδιώκουμε να έχουμε μια διακεκριμένη παρουσία στον FDF χωρίς να επιβαρύνουμε ή να εξαρτόμαστε οικονομικά από την Ιεραποστολή. Οι μικροί χορευτές μας απευθύνονται σε όλες τις γειτονικές κοινότητες προκειμένου να χρηματοδοτηθούν για να καλύψουν τα έξοδα κοστουμιών, μετακινήσεων και διατροφής. Όλοι όσοι συμμετέχουν σε αυτή την προσπάθεια είναι εθελοντές που ασχολούνται με μεράκι για αυτό το θεσμό για να προωθήσουν την Ελληνική μουσικοχορευτική παράδοση.
